Emergency dentist in Arlington: same-day appointments

If you have a toothache, a cracked or knocked-out tooth, a lost crown or filling, or swelling, call Arlington Dental Implants & Cosmetic Dentistry at (817) 483-6699 and we will see you the same day during office hours (Mon, Tue, Thu 8–5; Wed, Fri 8–3). We are at 4100 Southwest Green Oaks Boulevard in southwest Arlington. The same-day emergency exam includes the exam and the x-rays needed to diagnose the problem (restrictions apply). For a life-threatening situation — trouble breathing or swallowing, or facial swelling spreading toward the eye — go to the nearest emergency room first.

What we can treat the same day

Diagnose and relieve pain, treat an abscess, repair a chipped or broken tooth, re-cement a crown, replace a lost filling, extract a tooth that cannot be saved, and start a root canal. Same-day crowns are made in-office with CEREC, so many broken teeth leave with the permanent crown the same visit.

What to do before you get here

• Knocked-out tooth: hold it by the crown, rinse gently, keep it in milk or saliva, and come in within the hour.
• Toothache: rinse with warm salt water; do not put aspirin on the gum.
• Broken tooth: save the pieces; cover a sharp edge with sugar-free gum or dental wax.
• Lost crown: keep it; we can often re-cement it.
