How Much Do Veneers Cost in Arlington, TX? Per-Tooth Prices and What Drives Them
Area price ranges for porcelain and composite veneers, and how to read a quote.
Updated September 2026. Veneers are priced per tooth, and most people need more than one, so the number you see in an ad rarely matches the number on the treatment plan. Here is what porcelain veneers typically cost in the Arlington and Fort Worth area, what is driving the range, and how to read a quote.
The short answer
Across the Dallas–Fort Worth area in 2026, porcelain veneers commonly run $1,000 to $2,500 per tooth, with most practices' published ranges clustering around $1,500 to $2,500. A six-to-ten-tooth smile makeover, which is what most people mean when they say "veneers," lands somewhere between $8,000 and $20,000 depending on how many teeth are treated and the lab used. Composite (resin) veneers are less, typically $500 to $1,000 per tooth, and last a shorter time. Those are area-wide figures, not our fee schedule; the exact number for your smile comes from a consultation with photos and a bite assessment.
Why the per-tooth range is so wide
The lab and the ceramist. Veneers are hand-finished by a dental ceramist. A master ceramist who layers porcelain to mimic the translucency of a real tooth charges more than a lab that presses a single shade. On the front teeth, that difference is visible from across a room.
Minimal-prep vs. traditional. Minimal-prep veneers remove very little enamel, which keeps your natural tooth intact and makes the procedure reversible in some cases. They require careful planning and a thin, strong ceramic, so they are not the cheapest option, but they are the one we recommend whenever the teeth allow it.
How many teeth. Two veneers to fix a chipped front tooth is a different project from ten veneers to widen and brighten a whole smile. Per-tooth price often comes down slightly as the count goes up, because planning and lab work are shared.
What has to happen first. Whitening the surrounding teeth so the veneers can be matched to a brighter shade, treating gum inflammation, replacing an old filling, or short orthodontic alignment can all be part of a veneer plan and each carries its own cost.
Temporaries and follow-up. A good quote includes the temporary veneers you wear while the final ones are made, the try-in appointment, and adjustments after placement. Ask whether they are included.
Porcelain vs. composite veneers
Composite veneers are sculpted directly onto the tooth in one visit and cost roughly half as much per tooth. They stain more easily, chip more readily and typically need replacing sooner. Porcelain costs more up front and holds its color and polish for many years. For one or two teeth on a budget, composite can be a sensible choice; for a full smile, porcelain is usually the better value over time.
Does insurance cover veneers?
Almost never. Veneers are considered cosmetic, so plan on paying out of pocket. Financing lets most patients spread the cost over monthly payments; ask when you book the consultation.
Are veneers worth it?
For chipped, worn, stained-through or slightly crooked front teeth, veneers change the smile in two visits, and well-made porcelain veneers routinely last a decade or more with normal care. They are not the right fix for every problem: teeth that are badly crowded may need alignment first, and teeth that are mostly filling may need a crown instead. We say so at the consultation rather than sell veneers that will not hold up.
How to compare quotes
Ask which material and which lab. Ask whether the quote is per tooth or for the whole plan, and how many teeth it assumes. Ask if minimal-prep is an option for you, and if not, why. Ask what is included: temporaries, try-in, adjustments, a night guard if you grind. And ask to see before-and-after photos of the dentist's own cases, not stock images.
Questions people ask
How much do veneers cost in Arlington, TX?
Porcelain veneers in the Arlington and Fort Worth area commonly run $1,000 to $2,500 per tooth in 2026; a six-to-ten-tooth smile makeover typically totals $8,000 to $20,000. Composite veneers run about $500 to $1,000 per tooth.
How many veneers do I need?
Most people show six to eight upper teeth when they smile, so six to eight is the most common count. Some smiles need ten; some need only two. A consultation with photos answers this quickly.
How long do porcelain veneers last?
Well-made porcelain veneers routinely last ten years or more with normal brushing, flossing and checkups. Grinding without a night guard, biting nails or chewing ice shortens that.
What are minimal-prep veneers?
Veneers bonded with very little enamel removed, so your natural tooth stays largely intact. They suit teeth that are already reasonably aligned and need a change in color, shape or small chips repaired.
Can I get veneers if I grind my teeth?
Usually, yes, with a night guard to protect them. Grinding is one of the things we check for at the consultation.
